DATA AND OBSERVATION

A. Collecting of Ni-MH

            When the group opened the Ni-MH cell phone batteries we found 2 kinds of battery inside it. One was round and the other one rectangular. However when we explored inside both kinds we found that their contents were the same. Inside, we found insulators and strips which were black. Once exposed to the air the strips rose in temperature and later after approximately 5 minutes the strips burst into flames and thus melted their plastic container.

B. Converting Ni-MH into a liquid form

            Using 12.5g of Ni-MH we collected the following data:

Procedure	Observations
Added 100ml H2O	The solution was black and sediments settled at the bottom of the beaker
Added 5 ml  HCl (1N) seven times	There was minimal bubbling. The sediments are still visible but fewer. There was a rise in temperature.
Added 3 ml HCl (2.5N) 20 times	There was a rise in temperature. All the sediments are no longer visible. There was a lot of bubbles.

1N HCl is diluted and safer. It released no visible fumes

2.5N HCl is concentrated and very dangerous. It released visible fumes which is irritating to the throat and nose when inhaled.

C. Undissolved parts

Procedure	Observations
First addition of 20 ml concentrated HCl	The solution became dark green, smoke was emitted, there was a rise in temperature, and there was a presence of bubbles.
Second addition of 20 ml concentrated HCl	The solution became green, smoke was emitted, there was a rise in temperature, and there was a presence of bubbles.
Third addition of 20 ml concentrated HCl	The solution became neon green, smoke was emitted, there was a rise in temperature, and there was a presence of bubbles.

D. Electroplating

The positive wire is connected to the copper tube and the negative wire was connected to the stainless spoon.

At 1.5 volts when the spoon and copper tubing was dipped in the solution bubbles formed around the copper tubing. After 5 minutes we took out the spoon and copper tubing and observed that the spoon lost its shine and the copper appeared to have a lighter bronze color. After 10 minutes we took out the spoon and copper tubing and the part dipped was observed. The groups saw that the spoon turned a grayish color and the copper a silvery-white color.

At 3 volts we wanted to collect aluminum. Using the same set-up with the previous one we took out the spoon and copper after 5 minutes and observed that the spoon turned a bronze color and the copper turned a bronze color too. After 10 minutes the color of the spoon just became darker which is the same case for the copper tubing.

E. Using Ni-MH as a pigment for paint.

            Using 5 ml of the solution and 10 ml of poster color (water-based) we observed that the white poster color turned to foam and remained white.

            Using 5ml of the solution and 10 ml of Boysen paint (oil-based) we observed that the Ni-MH solution and the white paint just became a suspension. They wouldn’t mix together.

tapos miss ko na si daddy... nalaman ko na nanakaw ung phone niya sa US, nalaman kong may magnanakaw din dun!! haha!

MONday: trick or treat!! ahahaha!! dun ako with my cuzins sa robinsons circle.. nakacostume ako na zombie bride or witch... ndi ko talaga alam.. basta neon green skin ko heat to toe.. pati face! then meron akong artificial wound sa likod.. dun ako namatay! nung kinagat ako ng langgam! tapos ung purpe kong gown nung kasal nila tito rich! and slippers! saya sobra!! daming candy na ikinataba ko later on! scary kaming lahat! lalo na si tatatz, bro, and leanne.. mga demons sila... sa kamalasang palad nga lang umulan kung kaya't natunaw din ung paint.. after nun, dumating sila NICA,, nagscary stories gimic kami! then ginulo namin ung kwarto nila tito and tita... MASAYA!

and nung friday, nagdate kami ni dana! napakaboring! nagback-out kasi lahat ng ininvite namin... pero kasama naman namin maid nila dana... tapos sobrang nagsayang kami ng pera sa pamasahe... pagdating ng gateway 30 mins lang siguro kami dun....bumili lang ng food sa cinema then umuwi na kami sa house ni dana... then pagdating dun pumunta kami ng Video city para makapag muvy marathon kami... nirent namin ung sleepover ekek, then princess diaries2, and isa pang ndi ko maalala... After nun pagbalik namin sira din pala ung player nila dana kung kaya't nagsayang nanaman kami ng matinding pera.... so after nun umuwi na ako.. Then pagdating ko alis agad papunta santa rosa laguna... sa new house nila tito rich... ang cute nung subdivision nila! parang sa harry potter ung lugar!! carbon copy ung mga bahay! wahahaha! tapos sa tapat nun ung park! naglaro kami agawan base!! tapos nanghuli ng mga grasshopper para lang manakot... then may bata dun tinawag kaming crazy stupid jerks!! grabe tawang-tawa ako nun! then nagplayground kami til 9, nung oras na iyon pinagsarahan na kami ng ilaw! o dba very considerate! tapos nakakita kami ng firefly!! tuwang-tuwa ako!! para siyang sigarilyo na lumulutang!! ang cute! hehehehe!! then ice cream marathon! tapos uwian na... si tito james ang naging driver namin! tugeder we dreamt of my future!

Saturday naman pumunta kami ni Eka, Maezy, janna, Labs, AND bebes sa Ateneo para sa pem.... prang review sa math ekerz...  late na kami dumating.. so parang pagpasok namin lahat nakatingin sa amin... tapos pinaupo kami dun sa harap... And doon ko narealize kung gaano ako katanga katabi ng mga atenean, marian, xavieran nerds.... wuhehehe!! grabe, pruving agad!! after nun umuwi na kami, daan muna sa mcdo katipunan, nilibre ako ni v-ann ng kitchie's combo!! nyahaha!! pero lam niyo ba ang sarap nung twister fries!! grabe! heaven!! try nio!! HAHA nagendorse daw!.

then asukan na... iyakan moments na!! pero atleast wala si mommy B!! yahoo!!

aug 6= youth mass na huling inatendan ko!! sumayaw kami ng halina't ihayag!! dun ako buong araw sa   bahay nila ate coleen! (late ako kxe pumunta pa ako dentist!!) ayon tapos tinuruan ako ni kuya ken nung dance! kaso indi naman ako natuto... uhhh... so sad... pero sa araw na ito nagsimulaa fever koh... paguwi ko ng 4 natulog lang ako.. tapos indi na ako pinayagan ng mommy koh na mag-attend ng formation!

pero cge dahil for my own good din naman un!!

AUG 7. wala lang yata.... natulog lang talaga ako... gumawa ng mga homework... masama pakiramdam ko, skyflakes lang kinain ko the whole day

AUG. 8 monday

pumasok ako sa skul dahil pinilit ko lang mommy koh pero may high fever na ako nito... nag exam lang ako para sa homeroom.. after ng exam na feeling ko ay mababa dahil wala ako sa mood magdrawing, pumunta ako clinic tapos inuwi na ako ng mommy koh... go mommy!!

tapos kahit na nahihilo na talaga ako dahil sa trip pauwi pumunta pa kami st.lukes... pinacheck-up ako at blood test... hay, tagal ng pila.. tapos nilalamig pa ako nun... todo wasted ako!! at wala ako sa mood kumain...

then ayun umuwi na ako at natulog ako ng maayos.. then ginising ako ng daddy ko ng 2:30 (umuwi siya from work para lang dun... awww!) tapos naka-pack na pala mga gamit koh... dinala ako sa hospital... confine na pala ako... tapos nakakainis sa hospital.. kasi dalawang beses ako tinurukan para dun sa dextrose... mali ung una!!

tapos diba dati takot na ako sa once a year nakinukuhanan ng dugo.. well, ito twice a day ako kukunan!! tapos nung isang araw ang taba pa ng injection parang diameter niya dalawang fingers niyo!! so painful!! pero pasa nalang siya ngaun! feel ko nga naubusan sila ng bubutasan sa kamay ko eh.. puno na kxe nyweiz...ndi din masarap ung food dun.. okei lang pero nakakasawa...

at ung pinakapainful part ng stay ko dun ay nung tinanggal ung mga tape na nakadikit sa akin... ung lng tlga ayoko, at saka ung ndi ako makatulog sa gabi kxe every hour nila ako chinecheck...

at ang pinaka ayoko sa dengue koh ung makati!! at pulang-pula legs koh dahil sa rashes... tssstx3

pero masaya naman... dinalaw ako 2x ng mga YS!! tnx po sa mga prayers niyo!! hehehehe!!! then dinalaw din ako nila mommy joyce, dana, kimnar bear, jejebear, mitrah!, tita chin, jocelyn, at iba pa..ndi ko tanda... SORRY!!!

Aug. 13-til present

then aun pag-uwi ko from the hospital nagwoworry pa ako sa mga exams koh...

pero tapos na siya ngaun!!

mahirap kasi ako lang nag-eexams... maingay lahat ng tao... at hindi ako excused sa mga HW xiempre... at 5 pm dismissal koh!! at binati ako ng sobrang puyat!!

pero yeahboi tapos na!! at health nalang tlga exam koh!! tapos nga pala feel ko ang baba ng exams koh ng sobra!! pero okie lang! tapos na xia!!

at dito ko itatapos ang entry koh...

ang mga larawan na ito ay sumisimbolo sa katamaran ko mag-aral!!! ...

kung sabi nila the uniform represents st.paul... well then,, I'm eating st. paul and he doesn't taste good..
